1st snow

Beautiful 1st snow. 4 inches planned. The house is all lit up and decorated, candles in the windows. Peaceful and just beautiful.

Oh Deer

I love deers, I find them so beautiful and peaceful. I am lucky to live an area where Deers live around us. In the spring I love watching the herds with their little ones in toe, but comes winter I love seeing the majesty of the males with their antlers pointed up. With a bit of luck snow is on the ground making this even more magical.

I recently came across these beautiful vintage prints. I love their colors and sense of realism

Christmas Decorating - Tricia Style

I love Tricia Foley, she has the ability to make white look sparkly and make the simplest pairings look high end. I recently came across one of her ideas for Christmas decorating. Enjoy!

Advent Calendar

Today is December 1st, and every year we start our advent calendar.
For years we bought ones from around the world for our kids filled with chocolates. But more and more they lost interest, so we stopped buying and decided to create our own. We were inspired by this idea and from this point on our entire family has looked forward to the advent calendar. Every day one person chooses an antique ornament and places it on the card all the way to Christmas Eve. It is magical, we forget how beautiful each ornament is, not all get used and therefore the calendar looks different every year.
Simplicity can be beautiful.

If this one does not inspire you here are a couple of ideas I like while looking in the web.

Create your version and make it your tradition.
